I put up some pictures of our DC trip. We had an awesome weekend in DC. We stayed in a renovated Irish hotel about 2 blocks from the Capitol building, and took a day to walk around some of the monuments and museums. Eddie’s wedding was beautiful, and his family was so excited to see Rhya! I got a firm lecture from Eddie’s dad about how I should treat Rhya, and what would happen if I didn’t.
We made it to the Melting Pot for a belated anniversary dinner, and made our flight home (barely). One word of advice – Never book a flight out of BWI at 6am. I had to get up at 3:15am to get ready, as I didn’t use my connection from O’hare to Peoria. I instead caught another flight to Detroit and worked all day. Needless to say, I was beat.

Linkblog
One thing that I’ve wanted to do for a while is try to maintain a linkblog. Basically, I just wanted to browse the sites that I normally go to, and if I see a particularly interesting topic, I’d like to share it. Not a big hubub with its own story or anything. Well, I was always to busy or lazy to implement my own solution to this, but now, someone has done it for me! So, I’ve implemented the plugin for wordpress, and you can see my links in all their glory to the right (or you can subscribe to the rss feed).
By the way, I’m a copycat. Josh Schulz of the Schulzone had this first.

My Blogroll
I’m not quite sure how I’m going to implement this in this site yet (or if I will). Between the Linkblog, and a static list of sites that I link to, I’m not sure how much more appetite I have to litter the site with links. However, this is my Bloglines subscription list. If you can recommend any more, I’m definitely open.
Motor City
I’m in Detroit this week, which means I’ve been on the road for half of May. Partially due to this fact, and partially because the website has been down the other half, I haven’t been able to update the ol’ site as much as I would have liked to. Hopefully, that will be able to change for the better, as I don’t think I’m going to have to travel very much in June and July. Truth be told, I don’t see more than the occasional trip to Detroit happening until at least the end of August.
