After about a month of Rhya packing up the house, my Dad, Mom, and I spent Saturday moving the boxes and the light(er) furniture into the garage to get ready for transport. Then, on Sunday, Dad and I loaded up a 26′ U-haul and took it to the storage facility. After that delight, we came back to the house for round 2. This time, Charlie came over and we grabbed the heavy furniture as well. So, with the exception of a few boxes to be packed, a lawn to be moved and some cleaning and paint touch-up, we are effectively now longer P-towners. I now declare us citizens of Chillsville, though Rhya and I will be in Rockford and Princeville respectively in the near future. Phone numbers won’t change, and we’ll send out some change of address cards in a bit. I’ll have some pictures to post soon. There is a lot of progress being made!

Kansas City
We got a chance to go to Kansas City to see the Hofers last weekend for 3 days. The weather wasn’t the best, but it was still awesome. It was the first time we attempted such a long car trip (6-7 hrs.) with Lindy, and she didn’t do bad on the way there. We had an absolutely great time, and the whole trip was capped off with some time in the park, where Lindy got to swing her little heart out.

We Sold our Old House
In what was a flurry of activity, Rhya and I put our house on the market for sale by owner, held one open house, and signed paperwork for the sale of our house in 25 days start to finish. I’d have to say there was some serious luck in there for us! We are closing on April 30th, so that sends us scrambling again to move all of our stuff into storage!
As far as the current house goes, I’ve been a bit of a slacker in getting new pictures up. Here is one from my cell phone from this weekend, but I plan to snap some more tomorrow when I go to meet with the electrician about some “special requests.”
One thing of note, though…Check out the entry arch. Charlie is extremely proud of it, and I can see why. It is going to profile the front door perfectly when the brick is on it!
