Does anyone that reads this site use 30Boxes.com? I’ve never been really big on online calendars, but this one is pretty awesome. Throw in a decent to-do list, and some killer web aggregation and sharing action, and I’m hooked. The only thing that would make it better would be if I could hook more people into it. You can find my 30 boxes info here.

Class A is A-OK with Ryno on ChicagoSports.com
Class A is A-OK with Ryno on ChicagoSports.com
This has been out for a while, but I’m still excited about it. I think this is one year that I’ll make going to opening day in P-town a priority.

New (Virtual) Home
mattandrhya.com has a new home. Rhya and I have been fighting spotty internet service for a couple weeks now, and I was frankly pretty sick of battling the VMWare session that the website lived on. So, we’ve now moved the website over to the free (I’m cheap) hosting site wordpress.com. As you can see, this isn’t a drastic change to the site as it existed before, and I don’t think anyone needs to update their feeds.
Teaser Alert: We’ve got some pretty cute videos of Lindy to put up….

Snow Day!
We got over a foot of snow yesterday, so Rhya bundled up Lindy tight, and we took her out on a sled that I had gotten the night before. I’m not sure what she thought of all of it, but I think she was a bit docile because of the fact she was bundled up so much. I, on the other hand, was stoked, because it was my break from shoveling my driveway. It took probably about 3 1/2 – 4 hrs. when all is said and done, and I beat the city road crew, as they still haven’t cleared our streets!

Two Weeks Down
Who has two thumbs and is in a beard growing contest with Charlie? That’s right, this guy! Don’t get jealous, just because I grow sweet beards all day. It’s full of red and blonde goodness.

Does that make me Crazy
I catch a lot of flack for my awful (or is it aweSOME) taste in music. Next time you want to take a pot-shot at me for it, take solace in the fact that you can track just how bad my taste really is (here)-E-mail me for the link. I proudly put my shame on semi-display. I’m just waiting to see how many pre-teen girls I get as my “neighbors.”
Not the Mama!
Lindy and I are going to have a night out on the town in Chi-town tomorrow, which will officially be the longest that Rhya has been away from the little one. Rhya is going to go to a bachelorette party, so I will be attempting to keep little Lindy busy enough to forget that I’m “Not the Mama!” Wish me luck…(or her luck, whichever)

Comments should be fixed
I switched from Spam Karma to Akismet, so hopefully captcha and waiting for posts to be moderated are a thing of the past….please feel free to test it. I’m so sick of comment spam.

I use them to balance tables
I’m sure glad I get to follow up Rhya’s novel about books. Josh tagged me, so here is my attempt at answering (though I’m pretty sure it will firmly shut me out of all book-related meme tagging).
Also, I’m just going to stick to adult books, or else I’d have to put “Catcher with a Glass Arm” as an answer to too many of these. Plus, I’m calling it right now: I’m not going to answer with the Bible, because I’d use it for more than one. There, now on with it:
1. One book that changed your life? Bat*21, which I just recently discovered is not Catch 22. I’ve had it in my mind for at leas 15 years that I loved the book Catch 22. Nope, Bat*21. Talk about struggle and heroism.
2. One book you have read more than once? – I really don’t do this. It ranks right up there with watching old movies. But I’ll probably read Angels and Demons again sometime.
3. One book you would want on a desert island? Probably the biggest Choose Your Own Adventure book ever. And it would preferably be so big that I could use it as a raft.
4. One book that made you laugh? The Great American Novel by Keith Malley. This is the guy from the Keith and the Girl podcast. It was a pretty good size e-book that used to be online, but now he is going to edit it and try to actually publish it. This guy’s life was crazy.
5. One book that made you cry? I’m not sure I actively cried, but I remember how sad I was during a couple parts of Friday Night Lights.
6. One book you wish had been written? A biography of my Dad’s life. His stories are awesome.
7. One book you wish had never been written? Take your pick: Digital Fortress or Deception Point – both by Dan Brown. How can the same guy write a book like Angels and Demons and these two pieces of garbage?
8. One book you are currently reading? Does Maxim count? ’cause some of those stories are pretty long. No, seriously, I just don’t take the time for it anymore. The longest book I’ve read in a while is the Cat Product Catalog to Macullen or Animals on the Farm to Lindy.
9. One book you have been meaning to read? Catch 22 until I figured out it wasn’t Bat*21. But I’ve also been wanting to read Lullaby by Chuck Pahluniuk.
10. Now tag five people: Tammy, Rachel, Bennett, Jo, Chip, Lea, JP…

Walking
Welcome to the new Miller family tradition: Walking around the neighborhood in the evening prior to bath and bed for Lindy-Lou. She absolutely loves it, and it is a nice way for Rhya and I to take time to share our day.
